Six-step Quality Control Solution Toolkit

We never stop pursuing high quality!

We know the pain points of our clients' language service needs, and customize the Six-step Quality Control Solution Toolkit to keep them protected while deploying their global strategy

Style Guide

Unified instructions and requirements are made for tone of voice, writing style, document processing rules, punctuation, usage, target audience, fixed translation, format & font, application of the document and so on;

Glossary

Glossary

We will develop a unified glossary for each specific professional field. For example, we need to produce KNP (Key Names and Phrases) for film and TV drama localization, and unify character names, scene nouns, lyrics, titles and credits. For the medical field, we will unify professional medical terms. This rule also applies to other professional fields. By establishing glossaries, it will not only help us ensure the accuracy of translation, but also enable multiple translators to work collaboratively to guarantee the consistency of translation of all professional terms;

Translation Memory (TM)

This is a database used to store previously translated sentences, paragraphs, or textual paragraphs. In every paragraph is the source language(the Source) and the target language (the Translation). When a new document is translated, the same or similar text in the TM will be automatically matched, which means that previously translated sentences, paragraphs, or textual paragraphs no longer need to be re-translated, saving time, effort, and cost, while ensuring consistency and accuracy in the translation of documents before and after;

Query Log

Query Log

It mostly focuses on the ambiguous requirements or management method of the document. We will put together a list for any questions or error-prone areas that might affect the quality of the final translation and confirm with the client, including questions as to how to understand the source language. We call it the "mine clearing” process;

Checklist

Different clients from different industries have different requirements and instructions, including the naming, format and parameter settings of the documents to deliver, special instructions for the translation of the films and TV dramas, style compliance with client requirements, and arrangement in the folder of the source documents and the documents to deliver, and whether a QA report can be issued, etc., to ensure that all the documents to deliver comply with client requirements;

QA Report

As powerful methods that outperform human efforts, the above three tools, including Glossary, Style Guide and TM, can be used to ensure consistency. In addition to the control of the professional TEP process and the manual spot inspections by native translators, the quality control manager will use QA tool, a scientific and technological means, to correct all the errors that translators can’t possibly identify, and issue corresponding QA reports which can often be used to help us identify the following problems:
